  • Periodic oil and oil filter changes are the most important preventative maintenance procedure. As engine oil ages, it becomes thin and contaminated, leading to premature engine wear.
  • Start the engine and warm it up to a temperature of 80-90°C.
  • Remove the engine oil filler cap.
  • Remove the lower engine splash shield.
  • Loosen the engine oil drain plug about half a turn (Fig. 4.43). Place a container to catch the oil under the oil drain plug and unscrew the plug completely. If necessary, apply pressure to the plug while unscrewing to prevent the oil from leaking prematurely. Wait until all the oil has drained from the oil pan into the container.

Warning: Use caution as the drained oil is very hot.

  • Screw in the engine oil drain plug with a new sealing ring and tighten it to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 25 Nm
  • Fill the engine with the required amount of recommended motor oil.

Engine oil capacity, l:
  • total: 5.04
  • oil filter: 0.14

Recommended specification:
  • cCMS classification: for SERVICE PD2
  • aCEA classification: for SERVICE B2-96 or BZ-96
