Models with a carburetor engine
1. The system consists of a compensation valve, a vacuum valve, a control valve and a distributor with a vacuum corrector.
2. To compensate for low atmospheric pressure, additional air is supplied to the carburetor and additional vacuum is supplied to the vacuum corrector.
Fuel injected models
12.3 Components of a low atmospheric pressure compensation system
1. Mixing chamber; 2. To the air filter nozzle; 3. Pressure sensor; 4. Ignition lock; 5. Electronic control unit; 6. Solenoid valve
3. These models use a pressure sensor along with a solenoid valve (12.3) When the ignition is on, the sensor periodically checks the atmospheric pressure. The rest of the time it monitors the pressure in the intake manifold.
4. The sensor sends information to the electronic control unit, which regulates the opening time of the injectors in accordance with atmospheric pressure and intake manifold pressure.
