Front disc brakes — device (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

The front disc brakes use so-called floating caliper brake mechanisms. The brake caliper looks like a clenched fist. The brake pistons in the cylinder body press the inner pad against the brake disc, causing the cylinder body to tighten in its guide and the pad on the other side to also press against the disc.
