Replacement of outdoor lighting lamps (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

Turn off the corresponding switch.

Headlights



Open the engine compartment hood.

Remove the battery retaining bar next to the right headlight and lift the coolant expansion tank and windshield washer reservoir upward. Do not place the tanks on the engine or battery.

Detach and remove the rubber cap.



Release the lamp retaining spring from the latch and fold it back.



Remove the burnt-out bulb.

Insert the tabs of the new bulb into the corresponding holes in the housing. Hold the bulb by the socket, not the glass.



Insert and snap the spring clip of the lamp into place.

Place the rubber cap on the back of the headlight bulb and insert the socket into the socket.

Install the coolant and windshield washer reservoirs. Secure the battery.

Check the headlight adjustment.

Front direction indicators



To access the back of the turn signal, move the battery slightly towards the middle of the vehicle.

Disconnect the spring from the rear of the engine compartment light and pull the indicator light forward.



•Remove the socket from the rear of the indicator lamp and replace the bulb.

Insert the lamp lugs with the socket inserted into the corresponding mounts. Attach the spring from the back side.

Front parking light



From the back of the headlight, pull out the socket by squeezing the side clamps. Gently press the bulb into the socket, turn 90° (1/4 turn) to the left and pull out.

Insert the new bulb, press it lightly and turn it to the right. Insert the socket.

Fog lights, reversing lights



After unscrewing the mounting screws, remove the protective glass.

Remove all bulbs from their sockets.

Insert and press down lightly on the new bulbs.



After replacing the damaged rubber gasket, secure the protective glass.

Side direction indicators



Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the glass. Turn the socket to the left to remove it and then the bulb. Insert the new bulb (2) and snap the socket and glass into place.



Rear lights



Remove the trim in the trunk.

Disconnect the connector from the lamp holder • Remove the connector (1) by turning the socket to the left, pull it out. Lightly press the burnt-out lamp into the socket, turn it 90° (1/4 turn) and remove.



After installing the new bulb, snap the glass into place.

License plate lighting



Press the burnt-out bulb lightly into the socket, turn it 90° (1/4 turn) to the left and remove it. After inserting the new bulb, press it and turn it to the right.
