2. Tighten the crankcase mounting bolts to the required torque.
3. Remove the crankcase again and remove the solder wire. If the wire is not compressed, you need to take another wire with a larger diameter and repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. Measure the thickness of the compressed wire with a micrometer and select a shim of the thickness that, after installation, will give the required axial clearance or bearing preload (pic. 11.15).
Pic. 11.15. Measure the thickness of the compressed wire with a micrometer and select a shim of the thickness that, after installation, will give the required axial clearance or bearing preload
Primary shaft preload: 0-0.05 mm.
Axial clearance of intermediate shaft:
- Manual transmission F4M21, F5M21 - 0.05-0.17 mm.
- Manual transmission F5M22 - 0.05-0.10 mm.
Secondary shaft:
- Manual transmission F4M21, F5M21 (until June 1987) - 0.05-0.17 mm.
- Automatic transmission F4M21, F5M21, F5M22 (since July 1987) - 0.05-0.10 mm.
Axial differential clearance:
- Manual transmission F4M21, F5M21 - 0.05-0.17 mm.
- Manual transmission F5M22 - 0.05-0.10 mm.
