Check on the car
1. Raise the front of the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the lower support (see below).
3. Screw on the support nut.
4. Check the torque of the support, which should be 1.01–3.39 N·m.
5. If the moment is higher than specified, replace the support; if it is lower, the support can be used, but only on condition that the support rotates without jamming.
Checking after removal from the vehicle

Check the play of the support clamped in a vice. If the play exceeds 0.5 mm, replace the support.
Removal and installation
1. Raise the front of the car and remove the wheel.

2. Remove the lower arm (see subsection 10.2.7).
3. Loosen the bolts and nuts and remove the support.
4. Installation of the support is carried out in reverse order.
5. Tighten the support bolts and nuts to a torque of 54-74 Nm. (1983-91) or 81 nm. (1992-98). Tighten the support nut to a torque of 120-180 Nm.

6. Lubricate the support through the grease gun.
7. Adjust the clearance (see subsection 10.2.1) and wheel alignment angles.
