Note: Check the side impact sensor for dents, cracks, deformations and measure the resistance between the terminals, even when installing a new side impact sensor.


1. Install the side impact sensor (3) and securely connect the connector.

Caution: If the side impact sensor is not installed securely, the side airbag may not deploy correctly.


2. Install the front seat belt cover.

3. Install the outer part of the seat belt.

4. Install the lower center pillar trim (2).

5. Connect the negative battery terminal (1).

6. Check the correct operation of the side impact sensor.

Examination



1. Check the side impact sensor and bracket for dents, cracks, or deformation.

2. Check the connector for damage and the terminals for deformation.
