If the engine runs rough after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, reset the engine idle speed in the following order:

1. Stop the car in a safe place.

2. Shift the transmission into neutral (N) on a manual transmission or into position P (Park) on an automatic transmission. Turn off the engine.

3. Start the engine again.

4. Turn off the air conditioner.

5. Allow the engine to warm up until the coolant temperature gauge needle stops approximately in the middle of the scale.

6. Turn off and start the engine again.

7. Let the engine idle for 10 minutes.

8. When the engine speed stabilizes, the restart procedure is complete.

Note: If the engine speed remains unstable after performing the described procedure, it is recommended to have the vehicle checked.
