Fuses and fuses

Fuses prevent fires when excessive current flows through individual electrical circuits. If a fuse blows, it is recommended to check the vehicle's electrical equipment to determine the cause.

Fuses

Fuse box location

To protect electrical equipment from damage due to short circuit or overload, each circuit is equipped with a fuse. Fuse boxes are located in the passenger compartment and in the engine compartment.

Salon

The passenger compartment fuse box is located in front of the driver's seat in the location shown in the illustration. Replacement of fuses located in the passenger compartment is carried out under the dashboard.

Engine bay

In the engine compartment, the fuse box is located in the location shown in the figure.

Nominal current of fuses

The nominal current and names of the electrical circuits protected by the fuses are indicated on the inside of the cover located in the driver's footwell area, as well as on the inside of the fuse box cover located in the engine compartment.

Note: Spare fuses are located in the same block as the main fuses. For replacement, it is necessary to use fuses rated for the same nominal current.

Replacing fuses

1. Before replacing a fuse, disconnect the corresponding electrical circuit and turn the ignition key to the LOCK position.

2. Pull the fuse box cover towards you and remove it.

3. Remove the tweezers (B) from the fuse box cover (A).



4. Replacement of fuses located in the passenger compartment is carried out under the front panel.



5. Using the fuse rating table, check the size of the fuse that is associated with the faulty circuit.

Note: If any electrical equipment does not work and the fuse associated with it is good, there may be a fault in the electrical equipment or elsewhere. It is recommended to have your vehicle checked at an authorized Mitsubishi service center.

6. Insert a new fuse of the same rating into the same location in the fuse box.

Attention:

• If the inserted fuse blows again after a short time, it is recommended to check the electrical circuit to identify and eliminate the cause.
• It is prohibited to install a fuse rated for a higher current, as well as homemade connections from wires, foil, etc. This can lead to overheating of the electrical wiring and fire.
