1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the intake manifold.
3. Remove the upper radiator hose.
4. Remove the thermostat.
5. Remove the coolant hose (1).
6. Remove the coolant hose (2).
7. Remove the outlet hose connection and thermostat housing assembly (3).
8. Remove the thermostat housing gasket (4).
9. Remove the water pump inlet connection (5).
10. Remove the water pump inlet connection gasket (6).
11. Remove the coolant hose connection (7).
12. Remove the coolant hose connection (8).
13. Remove the coolant outlet pipe (9).
14. Remove the sealing ring (10).
15. Remove the heater connecting pipe (11).
16. Remove the water pump inlet hose (12).
17. Remove the sealing ring (13).
18. Remove the heater connecting pipe (14).
19. Remove the coolant pipe from the cylinder head (15).
20. Remove the coolant pipe gasket from the cylinder head (16).
Model with 4M4 engine
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the upper radiator hose connection (1).
4. Remove the coolant hose (2).
5. Remove the coolant temperature measuring instrument connector (3).
6. Remove the coolant temperature gauge (4).
7. Remove the coolant temperature sensor connector (5).
8. Remove the coolant temperature sensor (6).
Note: When removing the coolant temperature sensor, use the special key MB992042.

9. Remove the coolant outlet hose (7).
10. Remove the gasket (8).
11. Remove the EGR coolant outlet hose (9).
12. Remove the EGR coolant outlet hose (10).
13. Remove the sealing ring (11).
14. Remove the vacuum hose connection (12).
15. Remove the vacuum hose connection (13).
16. Remove the vacuum tube assembly (14).
17. Remove the turbocharger coolant outlet hose (15).
18. Remove the gasket (16).
19. Remove the coolant inlet pipe (17).
20. Remove the gasket (18).
21. Remove the EGR coolant inlet hose (19).
22. Remove the EGR coolant inlet pipe (20).
23. Remove the sealing ring (21).
24. Remove the heater hose connection (22).
25. Remove the turbocharger assembly and the exhaust manifold assembly.
26. Remove the heater return pipe (23).
27. Pick up the handset (24).
28. Remove the sealing ring (25).
29. Remove the sealing ring (26).
30. Remove the wiring bracket (27).
31. Remove the thermostat housing (28).
32. Remove the sealing ring (29).
