Model with 6G7 engine
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the air filter intake duct.
3. Remove the lower radiator hose.
4. Remove the drive belt.
5. Remove the thermostat.
6. Remove the cooling hose connection (1).
7. Remove the cooling hose connection (2).
8. Remove the coolant temperature sensor connector (3).
9. Remove the coolant temperature sensor (4).
Note: When removing the coolant temperature sensor, use the special key MB992042.
10. Remove the coolant outlet connection bracket (5).
11. Remove the coolant outlet hose (6).
12. Remove the sealing ring (7).
13. Remove the coolant outlet hose gasket (8).
14. Remove the water pump assembly (9).
15. Remove the water pump gasket (10).
16. Remove the sealing ring (11).
17. Remove the water pump inlet connection (12).
18. Remove the water pump inlet connection gasket (13).
19. Remove the thermostat housing (14).
20. Remove the thermostat housing gasket (15).
Model with 4M4 engine
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the air conditioner drive belt.
3. Remove the cooling fan.
4. Remove the generator drive belt (1).
1) Loosen the tensioner pulley lock nut.
2) Turn the adjusting bolt counterclockwise and remove the drive belt.
5. Remove the plate (2).
6. Remove the cooling fan pulley (3).
7. Remove the water pump (4).
8. Remove the sealing ring (5).
