2. Connect the ammeter (with scale 0 - 100 A) and a rheostat with a carbon sliding contact in series in the circuit between the positive terminal of the battery and the starter terminal.
3. Connect a voltmeter with a 0 - 15 V scale in parallel to the starter.
4. Set the rheostat slider with a carbon sliding contact to the position of maximum resistance.
5. Connect the negative battery terminal to the starter motor housing.
6. Adjust the resistance of the rheostat so that the voltage value on the voltmeter is 11V.
7. Check the ease and smoothness of rotation of the starter motor and the maximum current value, which should correspond to the nominal value.
