Check the ABS warning lamp as follows (Fig. 15.73).

1. After turning the key in the ignition switch to the ON position, the ABS indicator lamp should light up and go out after 2 seconds.

2. After turning the key in the ignition switch to the START position, the ABS indicator lamp should remain off.

3. After turning the key in the ignition switch from the START position to the ON position, the ABS indicator lamp should light up and go out after 2 seconds.

4. If the ABS warning light does not come on and go out as expected, check for diagnostic trouble codes.
