- Remove the fuel level sensor from the fuel tank.
- Check that the resistance between the fuel level sensor contact and ground corresponds to the nominal value when the float is at the upper F and lower E points (Fig. 19.70).

Nominal resistance of the fuel level sensor:
- in the upper position of the float F: 7.9- 14.6 Ohm
- in the lower position of the float E: 107.9- 118.9 Ohm
- Check the smoothness of the resistance change when moving the float from the lower to the upper position.
- Check the height of the fuel level sensor float by moving the float until it touches the stops and measuring the distance (A) at the upper point F and the distance (B) at the lower point E (Fig. 19.71).
