Checking the speedometer (Mitsubishi Space Star)

• Adjust the tire pressure on all wheels.
• Place the vehicle on running drums and place stops under the rear wheels (Fig. 19.66).

• Check that the speedometer readings correspond to the speeds given in the tables.

• If the speed ratings are not as specified, check the tire size and condition. If the tire size and condition are normal, replace the speedometer. If the speed ratings are still not as specified, replace the vehicle speed sensor.
