Removal
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the front wheel.
19.2a Loosen the lock nut while holding the steering rod with a wrench
19.2b Mark the installation position of the tip on the rod
2. Holding the tie rod with pliers, unscrew the lock nut enough to mark the position of the tie rod end on the rod (19.2a and 19.2b).
3. Remove the pin and unscrew the nut on the steering rod end.
19.4 Use a puller to remove the tie rod end from the steering knuckle arm
4. Disconnect the steering rod from the steering knuckle lever using the puller (19.4).
5. Unscrew the tip from the steering rod.
Installation
6. Screw the end onto the steering rod to the mark made earlier and install the rod onto the steering knuckle arm. Securely tighten the steering rod lock nut.
7. Install the castle nut and tighten it to the specified torque. Install a new pin.
