16.2a On some models, unscrew the screws securing the horn panel to the steering column (Galant model shown)
16.2b Lift the bottom edge of the horn panel, then remove it
2. Remove the sound signal panel from a steering wheel. On some models, the panel is fixed with screws (16.2a and 16.2b).
16.3 Having unscrewed the steering wheel fastening nut, make installation marks on the steering column shaft and steering wheel hub
3. Unscrew the steering wheel fixing nut and mark the position of the wheel on the shaft (16.3).
16.4 Use a special puller to remove the steering wheel from the steering column shaft - do not knock on the shaft when trying to remove the steering wheel
4. Using a steering wheel puller, remove the steering wheel (16.4).
5. When installing the wheel, align the marks on the wheel and shaft. Install the fixing nut and tighten it to the required torque.
6. Install the horn panel.
7. Connect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
