1 Try starting the engine with the selector lever in different positions - the starter should only engage when the selector lever is in neutral or park

Replacement



2. Remove the battery and air filter.

3. Move the selector lever to the neutral position.



7.4 Turn the locking switch so that its flange is aligned with the shorter of the two levers (A), then tighten the bolts

1. Lever; 2. Bolts; 3. Switch flange; 4. Unscrew the nut and disconnect the lever from the axle on the gearbox (7.4); 5. Disconnect the switch connection connector; 6. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the switch; 7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal


Adjustment



8. Rotate the switch so that the shorter of the two levers is aligned with the flange on the switch body, then tighten the bolts to the required torque (7.4).

9. Check the operation of the selector mechanism and readjust the switch if necessary.
