Checking the tightness of the steering system (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

If there is no fluid in the expansion tank, the steering system must be checked for leaks.

Turn on the engine, leaving it to idle.

Create maximum pressure in the steering system. To do this, turn the steering wheel in both directions until it stops, briefly holding it in the extreme positions.

In these positions, perform checks: piston valve; rack gaskets, for which move the vane pump cuff; places for connecting pipes and hoses.
