Steering gear mounting elements
1 - steering rod ends; 2 - steering rack mounting bracket; 3 - bracket for fastening the steering gear housing; 4 - steering mechanism; 5 - high pressure hose; 6 - low pressure hose; 7 - protective cover; 8 - steering column mounting bolt; 9 - clamp.


Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Drain the fluid from the power steering hydraulic system.

Remove the cross beam.

Remove the intake pipe of the exhaust system.

Loosen the bolt securing the steering shaft and steering gear.

Loosen and remove the clamp.

Remove the cotter pin.

Loosen the tie rod end ball joint pin nut. Do not completely remove the nut from the ball joint pin.

Using a puller, disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.

Disconnect the low pressure hose and the high pressure hose.

After unscrewing two bolts, remove the steering rack mounting bracket.

Unscrew the two bolts and remove the steering gear housing mounting bracket.

Remove the steering gear assembly.

Remove the protective cover. Check the rubber parts for wear and damage.



Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order.
