Engine Diagnostic Trouble Codes


The engine diagnostic trouble codes are the same as for engine 4G1, but two more codes need to be taken into account:
  • P0100 - Air Flow Meter and Related Components;.
  • P0551 - Power steering oil pressure sensor.

Checking the engine control unit



Checking the voltage between the terminals of the engine control unit



The location of the engine control unit connector terminals on a vehicle with a manual transmission is shown in Figure 17.4, on a vehicle with an automatic transmission - in Figure 17.5. The values during testing are given in Table 17.5.

Checking the resistance between the terminals of the engine control unit



The location of the engine control unit connector terminals on a vehicle with a manual transmission is shown in Figure 17.6, on a vehicle with an automatic transmission - in Figure 17.7. The resistance values are given in Table 17.6.
