Checking the idle speed sensor (Mitsubishi Colt 5)

1. Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor (Figure 8.21).



2. Check the continuity between terminals 3 and 4.

3. If any deviations are observed, replace the sensor.

Normal condition:

Gas pedal	Electrical conductivity
Pressed to the limit	No conductivity (∞ Ohm)
Released	There is electrical conductivity (0 Ohm)
