Clutch housing cover
1. Check the end of the diaphragm spring for wear and uneven height. The clutch housing cover is replaced with a new one if excessive wear is found or the height difference is exceeded. Maximum allowable value: 0.5 mm.
2. Check pressure plate for wear, cracks and material fatigue.
3. Check the diaphragm spring rivets for looseness and replace the clutch housing cover if necessary.
Clutch disc
1. Check the friction surface for loose rivets, uneven fit, corrosion, oil and grease contamination, and replace the clutch disc if necessary.
2. Measure the depth of the rivet head and replace the clutch disc if it is below the limit (pic. 11.8). Maximum permissible value: at least 0.3 mm.

3. Check up a backlash and absence of damages of a torsion spring. If defects are found, replace the clutch disc.
4. Check the bearing for signs of corrosion, damage, running noises and uniform rotation. The contact surface with the diaphragm spring is also checked for wear.
5. The bearing should be replaced if excessive wear is found on the contact surface with the clutch release fork.
