Worn or damaged outer constant velocity joints. Check seal integrity. Replace if necessary (see Chapter 8).
43. Knocking or dull metallic sound when accelerating after coasting
1. Worn or damaged inner constant velocity joints. Check seal integrity. Replace if necessary (see Chapter 8).
44. Shaking or vibration when accelerating
1. Excessive hinge angle. Check and correct as described in Chapter 8.
2. Worn or damaged constant velocity joints. Check and correct as described in Chapter 8.
3. Constant velocity joints are jammed. Repair or replace (see Chapter 8).
