Checking the oil level in a manual transmission (Mitsubishi Galant 5)

1. The manual transmission does not have a dipstick. To check the oil level, lift the car and place it on reliable supports. At the bottom, on the front side of the transmission, you will find a plug. Remove it. If the oil level is normal, it should reach the lower edge of the hole.



2. If it is necessary to add oil to the gearbox (if the oil level in the transmission is below the norm), use a syringe. The level is considered sufficient when the oil begins to flow out of the hole.

3. Replace the plug and tighten it securely. After driving the car for a short time, check for leaks.
