Brake fluid is an aggressive chemical compound and when in contact with body panels it destroys the paintwork. Before starting the procedure, cover the fenders and the front panel of the car with special covers or just old blankets.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
If your car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Locate the regulator valve, usually located under the master cylinder assembly.
3. Label and disconnect the brake lines connected to the valve.
4. Remove the regulator valve and take it out of the engine compartment of the car.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
2. Finally, do not forget to bleed the brake system (see Section Bleeding the brake system).
3. Connect the negative cable to the battery and check the brakes for proper operation.
