Adjusting the idle speed of a diesel engine





1. Screw; 2. Lock nut; 3. Increase; 4. Accelerator lever


1. Warm up the engine and turn off electrical consumers.

2. Increase the speed to 2000–3000 rpm, after 5 seconds switch the engine to idle.

3. Using a diesel tachometer, check the speed, which should be 700–800 rpm.

4. If necessary, adjust by turning the screw with the lock nut loosened.
