Checking and adjusting idle speed (for models with carburetor) (Mitsubishi Colt 2)

1. Connect a tachometer. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and check the ignition timing.

2. Increase the engine speed to 2000-3000 rpm for 5 seconds and let the engine idle for 2 minutes.

3. Check the idle speed using a tachometer.

20.4 When adjusting the idle speed, only turn the SAS1 screw - the other screws are factory adjusted and require special equipment to adjust them correctly

4. If the speed is too low or too high, adjust the adjusting screw (SAS1) as necessary (20.4).
