Diesel Fast Idle Speed Adjustment Parts





1. Accelerator lever; 2. Rod; 3. Cap; 4. Fast idle speed adjustment screw lock nut; 5. Fast idle speed adjustment screw; 6. Adjusting nut; 7. Nuts 1 and 2; 8. Gap 1 mm


1. Warm up the engine (liquid temperature 85–95°C) and turn off electrical consumers, apply the handbrake and align the wheels straight ahead (on a car with power steering).

2. Check and adjust the base idle speed if necessary.

3. Loosen nuts 1 and 2 (see figure Details for adjusting fast idle speed of diesel engine) and, by turning the adjusting nut, set the length of the rod so that the end of the rod is located in relation to the accelerator lever as shown in the illustration. Tighten the nuts.

4. Turn the air conditioner on and off several times and make sure that the lever and rod do not touch.

5. Turn the fast idle speed adjustment screw with the lock nut loosened to set the speed to 850–900 rpm.

6. Turn the air conditioner on and off several times and check the operation of the pneumatic drive (the lever moves up and down).
