Worn saddles are replaced in a car service center or equipped workshop by experienced personnel.

First, the saddle is removed by drilling to a material thickness of 0.5 mm, and then pressed out. The hole is reamed to fit a repair size seat. The new seat is pressed into the head heated to 250°C (striking is prohibited).

It should be taken into account that for each engine modification the repair dimensions of the seats differ and when selecting them, be guided by the data in the catalogue. After pressing, the seat is countersunk to fit the valve head dimensions.
