Toothed belt engine 2.4 l
1. Upper radiator shroud; 2–5. Belts; 6. Fan; 7, 8, 9. Pulleys; 10, 11. Covers; 12. Tensioner; 13. Belt; 14. Belt tensioner B; 15. Asterisk; 16. Flange; 17. Belt B
Tools used when removing the toothed belt
Removing
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove the upper radiator shroud and all drive belts.
3. Remove the fan.
4. Remove the pulleys from the coolant pump and crankshaft, remove both belt covers.
5. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the TDC of the compression stroke. From now on, rotation of the crankshaft is not allowed. Mark the direction of rotation on the belt.
6. Loosen the tensioner and remove the belt without allowing the crankshaft and camshaft to rotate.
7. Remove tensioner, crankshaft sprocket and flange.
8. Remove the small toothed belt, marking the direction of rotation.
9. Check up a condition of a belt, at detection of any defects replace.
Installation
1. Fossa; 2. Notch on the sprocket; 3. notch on the flange; 4. Tags on the case; 5. Label on the cylinder head
1. Align the marks on the sprockets, block and cylinder head and put on the small belt so that the upper part of the belt is taut.
2. Install the tensioner, orienting it correctly.
3. Move the pulley up and tighten belt B so that the deflection at the top is 6 mm.
4. Firmly holding the roller, tighten the tensioner bolt with a torque of 20 Nm.
5. Install the sprocket and flange on the crankshaft.
6. Install the large belt tensioner, resting the spring on the cooling pump, tighten the bolts. Align marks on all sprockets and engine housings.
7. Make sure the left roller is in the correct position.
Attention! When the marks are aligned, the left balance shaft can be in an arbitrary position.
9. After aligning the marks of the oil pump sprocket and on the housing, set the balance shaft. To do this, remove the plug near the starter and insert a bar with a diameter of 8 mm. If the bar enters 25 mm, then turn the oil pump 1 turn and check the alignment of the balance shaft marks.
10. Again check the alignment of the alignment marks and release the tensioner bolt.
11. Remove the bar and turn the crankshaft clockwise so that the camshaft sprocket moves 2 teeth.
12. Tighten the bottom and then the top bolts.
13. Check belt tension. The deflection in the middle between the oil pump and the crankshaft must be no more than 13 mm.
14. Install all removed parts.
