A piece of wire for checking the clearance of the connecting rod bearing

Reading the gap after removing the cover on the scale on the gauge packaging

Replacement

1. If there are no noticeable signs of wear on the connecting rod bearings, then you can limit yourself to checking the clearances in the bearings. The clearance is checked by the amount of crushing of a plastic wire gauge with the connecting rod cap nuts tightened.

The material is based on data from the website (www.MitsubishiMan.ru)

2. Check the connecting rod axial play. If the clearance exceeds the norm, replace the connecting rod and cover.

3. When replacing bearings, install them so that the protrusions on the liners fit into the recesses on the cover and connecting rod.
