  • Anti-lock braking system and stability control system — description
0
The anti-lock braking system is an active safety device that prevents wheel locking and lateral skidding during emergency braking, ensuring stable control and braking of the vehicle.

The anti-lock braking system is controlled and actuated by an electronic control unit and a hydraulic control unit. If emergency braking occurs, the electronic and hydraulic control units of the anti-lock braking system regulate the hydraulic brake pressure on different wheels to prevent the wheels from locking.

When the vehicle accelerates to a speed of more than 3 km/h, the anti-lock braking system is activated and performs self-diagnosis, and some sounds can be heard. If the anti-lock braking system fails, a fault code is stored in memory and the anti-lock braking system failure indicator (see picture).
