2. Press the belt at this point with a force of 98 N, measure the belt deflection and compare it with the nominal value.
Nominal value:
| Indicator | When checking | When a used belt is installed | When a new belt is installed |
| Tension, N | 392 - 588 | 441 - 539 | 637 - 833 |
| Sag (reference value), mm | 11,7-15,3 | 12,5-14,3 | 8,8-11,0 |
3. If the measured values of belt tension and deflection differ from the nominal values, then adjust using the following method.
1) Loosen the tensioner pulley lock nut.
2) Adjust the belt tension (deflection) with the adjusting bolt.
3) Tighten the lock nut to 25 Nm.
4) Check the belt tension and deflection and, if necessary, repeat the adjustment procedure.
Note: The check is performed after turning the crankshaft clockwise one or more revolutions (rotation to the right).
