Checking the vacuum in the intake manifold (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Start the engine and warm it up to a coolant temperature of 80 - 95°C.

2. Connect the tachometer.

3. Connect the tee to the vacuum hose between the fuel pressure regulator and the intake manifold, then connect the vacuum gauge.

4. Start the engine and check that the idle speed is within the nominal range. Read the instrument readings.
