1. Prepare the vehicle for inspection (warm up the engine to normal coolant temperature).
2. Connect the MUT-III device to the diagnostic connector.
3. Install the strobe light.
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
5. Check the idle speed, which should correspond to the nominal value.
Nominal value: 700±100 min⁻¹
6. Select number 17 in mode (Actuator test) "Checking the actuators" of the MUT-III device.
7. Check that the base value of the ignition timing angle is within the nominal values.
Nominal value: 5°±3° before TDC
8. If the basic ignition timing angle does not match the nominal value, check the injection system components (MPI).
9. Press the reset button (forced activation cancel mode of actuators) to exit the mode (Actuator test) "Checking actuators".
Note: If the check is not cancelled, the mode (Actuator test) "Executive device check" will last 27 minutes. Driving under these conditions may cause engine damage.
10. Check that the ignition timing angle complies with the specifications (nominal value).
Nominal value: approximately 10° BTDC
Note: Even under normal engine operation, the ignition timing angle changes within ±7°. As the altitude increases, the timing angle automatically increases by approximately 5° from the nominal value.
