2. Drain the oil from the drive shaft.
3. Remove the right drive shaft.
4. Remove the right pillar assembly.
5. Remove the inner shaft (1).
Caution: Be careful when removing the inner shaft from the differential housing so as not to damage the seal with the splined portion of the inner shaft.

1) Remove the inner shaft from the differential housing using special tool MB990906 and special tool MB990211.
6. Remove the clamp (2).
7. Remove the bearing (3).
8. Remove the pin (4).
9. Remove the drive assembly (5).
10. Remove the vacuum reservoir assembly (6).
11. Remove the overrunning clutch engagement switch (7).
12. Remove the gasket (8).
13. Loosen the differential mounting bolts.
14. Support the differential with a transmission jack.
15. Remove the right differential mounting bracket (9).
16. Remove the ventilation hose (10).
17. Remove the ventilation tube (11).
18. Remove the tubular housing (12).
