Removal the rear drive shaft (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Drain the oil from the differential.

2. Remove the stabilizer bar.



3. Remove the hub cover (1).

4. Remove the pin (2).

5. Remove the axle cover (3).

6. Unscrew the axle nut (4).

Caution: Do not load the front wheel hub bearing with the weight of the vehicle when loosening the wheel drive axle nut.




7. Remove the wheel speed sensor (5).

8. Remove the rear hub assembly (6).

9. Remove the rear drive shaft (7).

1) Remove the rear drive shaft using special tool MB990211 and special tool MB992204.



10. Remove the ring clamp (8).
