1. Remove the fuel level sensor from the fuel tank.

2. Check that the resistance between the fuel level sensor contact and the ground contact matches the nominal value (Fig. 19.7) when the sensor float is at the highest point (F) and the lowest point (E).

Nominal resistance, Ohm:
  • point F - 7.9-14.6;
  • point E - 107.9–118.9.

3. Check the smoothness of the resistance change when slowly moving the float between the highest point F and the lowest point E.

4. By moving the float, measure the height B (Fig. 19.8) at point E (lowest) and the height A at point F (highest).

Nominal value, mm:
  • A = 142.4;
  • B = 28.
