Removal
- Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the multifunction steering column switch (see section "Steering").
- To remove the fog light switch, use a screwdriver to pry off the switch trim, then disconnect the connector, squeeze the latches and remove the switch.
- Remove the screws securing the rear light and remove it from the vehicle.
Checking the rear fog light switch
- Check the conductivity between the contacts at different positions of the fog light switch (Fig. 19.95).

- If the conductivity is different from the required value, replace the switch.
Checking the rear fog light relay
- Remove the rear fog light relay and check the continuity between the relay contacts (Fig. 19.97).
