Removal


  • Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.
  • Release the spring clips and remove the air filter cover (Fig. 4.38).

  • Remove the air filter element.
  • Remove the bolts, disconnect the connector, loosen the clamp and remove the air flow meter.
  • Disconnect the hoses and remove the air intake hose.
  • Remove the battery from the vehicle.
  • Remove the bolts and air filter housing.
  • Remove the air duct.
  • Remove the lower engine splash shield.
  • Unscrew the bolt and nut and remove the resonator.

Installation


  • Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
  • Before installation, thoroughly clean the inside surface of the cover and air filter housing.
  • Before installing the air flow meter, make sure the meter opening is not dirty.


Warning: If the air flow meter opening is dirty, the air flow meter will not be able to accurately determine the amount of air flow entering the engine.
