Note: Before disconnecting the vacuum hose, mark its location so that you can reinstall it in its original position later.
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the throttle control solenoid valve.
2. Disconnect the connector from the throttle control solenoid valve (Fig. 8.14).

3. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the throttle control solenoid valve port (B) (Fig. 8.15).

4. Using a hand vacuum pump, create a vacuum in the throttle control solenoid valve pipe and check the decrease in vacuum when applying and disconnecting voltage from the solenoid valve connector contacts.
5. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the throttle control solenoid valve connector.
Resistance at 25°C: 43-49 Ohm
