1. Disconnect the connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor (see Fig. 6.6).

2. Measure the resistance between contacts 4 and 5 of the accelerator pedal position sensor connector (see Fig. 6.6).

Normal condition



Accelerator pedal Conductivity
Pressed Opened
Not pressed Closed

3. If the accelerator pedal switch conductivity is not as specified, replace the accelerator pedal position sensor assembly.

Note: After replacement, adjust the position of the accelerator pedal sensor.
