Removal
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is off.
Disconnect the intake manifold bracket.
Remove the wire (1) from the starter terminal 50 (to the ignition switch) and the wire (2) from the battery from terminal 30.
Unscrew the two bolts (3) from the gearbox and remove the starter motor with the clutch housing.
Installation
Install and secure the starter by tightening the two bolts (3) to 30 Nm.
Screw the wire (2) onto terminal 30 with a torque of 15 Nm and push the cable connector wire (1) onto terminal 50 until it snaps into place.
If removed, install the intake manifold support and tighten the four bolts to 20 Nm.
Connect the battery.
