Lambda probe (oxygen sensor) is used to regulate the composition of exhaust gases in gasoline engines. The probe is inserted into the exhaust manifold.
Removal
Remove the lambda probe connector from the front right side of the cylinder head.
A special open-end wrench is used to remove the lambda probe from the engine.
If you do not have a special key, unscrew the heat-protective cover of the manifold.
Unscrew the lambda probe from the front muffler pipe or from the catalytic converter housing.
Installation
When replacing, it is necessary to install a lambda probe of the same type.
Clean the threads and coat them with special grease for lambda probes. The grease should not get on the splines or holes in the probe body.
After screwing in the lambda probe, tighten it with a force of 50 Nm.
Connect the lambda probe connector.
