The valve serves to maintain constant oil pressure. It is built into the oil pump.

If the oil pressure warning light is on or flashing, this indicates insufficient oil pressure in the system. Remove and check the valve.

Unscrew the plug (1).

Remove the spring (2) and piston (3).

Check the free movement of the piston, clean it, replace the piston if necessary. There should be no signs of wear on the piston.

Insert the piston and spring, place a new aluminum or copper sealing ring under the plug and tighten.
