Models with internal gear pump



Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Raise the car on a lift.

Drain the engine oil.

Unload the engine mounts and remove the front bracket and V-belts.

Remove the engine camshaft/s drive components.

Remove the oil pan.

Remove the front engine cover with the oil pump.

Installation



The oil pump is installed in the reverse order.

Models with external gear pump



Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Raise the car on a lift.

Drain the engine oil and coolant.

Unload the engine mounts and remove the front bracket and V-belts.

Remove the engine camshaft/s drive components (with belt).

After unscrewing the oil filter, remove the filter bracket.

Remove the oil pan.

After unscrewing the plug in the front cover, fix the balance shaft with a screwdriver to prevent it from turning. Unscrew the bolt of the driven gear of the pump.



Mark the position of the gears (A) and remove.



CAUTION: When assembling, the gears must be installed in their original positions.




Installation



The oil pump is installed in the reverse order.
