Oil filter — replacement (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

To replace the filter element, it is recommended to use a special key. Such a key can be purchased in many stores, at the market, or made by yourself.

If you do not have a wrench and the filter needs to be replaced, you can insert a screwdriver or punch into the filter and unscrew the filter.

After unscrewing the filter, thoroughly clean the seat on the cylinder block and lubricate the filter gasket with engine oil. Screw on the new filter until the sealing ring is compressed, and tighten it from this position by 1/2-3/4 turns by hand, without applying any additional force.



Fill the engine with oil through the oil filler neck.

Start the engine and let it run for a while. Check that the filter connection does not leak.
