1. Measure the cam height and replace the camshaft if the measured value exceeds the maximum permissible value (Figure 3.32). The camshaft cam height values are given in Table 3.3.

Installation

2. Before installation, apply engine oil to the main journals and camshaft lobes. Do not mix up the camshafts when installing for the intake and exhaust valves. There is a 4 mm wide slot at the end of the exhaust camshaft (Figure 3.33).
