2. No. 2 and No. 5 main bearing caps are the same shape (pic. 3.34b). Install them in numerical order and check the identification marks to ensure you don't mix up the intake and exhaust side caps.

Identification marks: I - inlet side, E - outlet side.
3. Apply 3M ATD No. 8660 or equivalent sealant to cylinder head surface. After that, first tighten the inner bolts of the main bearing caps, and then the outer ones. The bolts are tightened evenly and in several stages until the required tightening torque is reached (pic. 3.35). Track correctness of installation of yokes.
